The 2012 Chevrolet Orlando has been conspicuously absent from the press since its concept debut at the Paris auto show in 2008. Yet General Motors is still prepping the vehicle for primetime, evident by these photographs of the compact people-mover taken by our valiant spy photographers.
Riding on GM's Delta platform, which also underpins the Cruze and Volt, the Orlando seems to have the compact MPV market in its sights, luring buyers of vehicles like the Mazda5. Unlike the Mazda, the Orlando will have conventional rear doors, and our photographer surmises that a seven-seat option will be available. The zebra-like camouflage successfully hides everything else.
We hear GM´s plant in Hamtramck will produce the Orlando somewhere around late 2010 or early 2011.
