If über-sports sedans are your thing, get a load of this. As previously announced, Aston Martin will be running the 24 Hours of Nürburgring on May 15th with its new Rapide sports sedan. Now our spy shooters have caught up with the four-door racer at - where else? - the Nürburgring, as it prepares for its motorsports debut.
It's fairly easy to tell this race-spec version apart from its road-bound sibling. If the light-alloy racing wheels don't tip you off, surely you'll notice the sliding Lexan side window and the silver roll cage inside this matte-black Rapide.
Aston Martin has previously contested the 24-hour German race in its Vantage sports car, famously spawning the commemorative Vantage N24 and GT4. And we're guessing that, as in years past, Aston CEO Ulrich Bez will score some seat time himself during the endurance race.
