Infiniti is marking its 20th anniversary this year, and we'll give you one guess at what they're doing to celebrate "two decades of luxury" -- yep, special edition models! Called the 2010 Infiniti G Anniversary Editions, the specially equipped G37s (350 G Sedans, along with 200 G Coupes and 200 G Convertibles) are scheduled to hit Infiniti dealerships in April.
Each special G is sprayed in a new Infiniti color called Graphite Shadow, with a Monaco Red Leather interior. The G Sedans feature the automaker's Shodo-finish aluminum trim to go with the Monaco theme, while the coupe and convertible get Red-toned Maple accents.
Also included on the Anniversary Editions are unique aluminum-alloy rims wrapped in W-rated summer performance rubber, a blacked-out grille treatment and other small updates to the front fascia, special side sills (for the Coupe and Convertible only) and a rear spoiler for all models with the exception of the Convertible. The Coupe also receives a slightly updated rear fascia.
The Anniversary Editions are based on the G Sedan Journey and AWD, G Coupe Journey and G Convertible and come loaded-up with Infiniti's Premium, Navigation and Sport (for the Sedan and Coupe only) Packages. Other options include the 4-Wheel Active Steer (not available on Sedan AWD) and climate-controlled seats for the Convertible.
Don't expect anything special in the powertrain or suspension departments, however, as all the Anniversary Editions come with the G's base 3.7-liter V-6 mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. So while not truly special from an enthusiast perspective, the Anniversary Editions are a decent way for Infiniti to celebrate the big 2-0.
