Someone on the Web was obviously unable to heed embargo information, leading to the leak of the first 2011 Infiniti QX photos ahead of this week's New York auto show.
Essentially a revised 2010 Nissan Patrol (which we drove last month), the 2011 QX wears Infiniti badges and restyled front and rear fascias. The face and butt aren't pretty, but then again, the QX was never that in the first place. It also gets the contemporary Nissan/Infiniti "helmet" with blacked-out A-pillars as seen on the GT-R.
Behind the FX-esque mask is the Patrol's reworked 5.6-liter V-8 making 400 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed automatic doles the power to the electronically controlled four-wheel drive system. It's a sure bet the Patrol's hydraulic body control system is carried over into its more luxurious cousin too.
More details will arrive soon when the biggest Infiniti hits the stage at this week's 2010 New York Auto Show, so stay tuned.
